Chris Will – The Story of a Boy and Autism Unawareness

“Chris Will” is a heartfelt account of one family’s journey through the isolating and misunderstood world of autism (from unawareness to diagnosis to ignorance.)

The story is told in snippets from the author’s interpreted point of view of her 12-year-old son with autism, herself and her “neurotypical” 11-year-old daughter. Poetry, narrative and photographs are interspersed to detail a few of the days of this family’s life with autism as the backdrop of their world.

The story is based on a blog formerly called, “Mom of an Atypical Child,” which later became a popular Facebook group called, “A Typical Child.”
